Carers celebrate the arrival of Spring at their annual meal

Dave and Fred with their raffle prizes

Crossroads Care in the Vale holds two annual events for carers and their dependent relatives, usually at Penarth Conservative Club where we are kindly permitted to use the large function room. However, this Easter, as numbers attending were a little lower, carers and their relatives instead enjoyed a meal at the Star in Dinas Powys. The event was partly funded by sponsorship raised in recent years, making it an inexpensive afternoon out for those who attended.

Crossroads Care events provide an ideal opportunity for carers to meet each other, give each other support, and form friendships in an informal setting. Carers often go on to join one of the many social and support groups provided by Crossroads Care throughout the Vale of Glamorgan.

Ten people attended the lunch, and everyone received an Easter egg and went home with a raffle prize. Dave and Fred, who regularly play skittles together at the Crossroads Care Men’s Group can be seen showing off their prizes in the above photograph.

If you are interested in the groups and events that Crossroads Care provides for carers and their relatives, please contact the office on (029) 2070 0057 for further information.

We look forward to hearing from you.
