British Red Cross make daily living made easier through P.A.L.S. presentation at carers’ group

For many years, the British Red Cross has operated a Community Equipment Loans Service throughout South East Wales. In more recent years, they have also provided a service whereby members of the public can view and purchase a wide range of medical equipment and aids to daily living. This service has become known as P.A.L.S. (Practical Aids to Living).

On Monday 19th July, between 2pm and 3.30pm, Gordon Ham of the P.A.L.S. project will be talking to members of Crossroads Care’s Penarth Social Group at Stanwell Road Baptist Church Hall, where he will explain and demonstrate the various aids to daily living that are currently available.

Gordon will be able to suggest items to individuals with particular conditions, which could help to make life easier for them. It will also be possible to see and try out the aids before actually purchasing them. The aids to daily living available through the P.A.L.S Outreach Service are inexpensive, with the majority being between £5 and £10.

All carers and their dependent relatives with dementia in the Vale of Glamorgan are welcome to attend this meeting. If you would like further information, please contact Jo Hendry on (029) 2070 0057 (option 3).
