Sponsorship continues to rise as Race Day approaches

Runners at Llanberis Pass

Race Day is looming, the majority of my training is done, and the nerves are kicking in! Last Saturday I did my longest run – 22 miles from Canton to Barry Waterfront and back. The last few miles were hard-going but fortunately flat.

I think what kept me going was the fact that this coming Saturday I will only be running 14 miles on my long training run, as my training tapers off and my body has the chance to recover before the big day arrives.

Sponsorship has reached £1,400, and I would once again like to thank all those who have been so generous in supporting me and Crossroads Care in this venture. It is good to know that such a large sum of money will be going towards supporting carers of those with dementia in the Vale of Glamorgan.
It is not too late to sponsor me. Just go to www.justgiving.com/johendry
Thank you!
