Carers’ Rights Day Provides Support and Advice for Carers

Friday 3rd December is Carers’ Rights Day. For information and a chat with someone who understands, you are welcome to call in at one of the carers’ drop-in cafés organised by the Vale of Glamorgan Council:

Barry: Age Cymru Senior Health Shop, Holton Road  10:30-2:30pm 

Chat with someone from Age Concern or a Vale of Glamorgan Council Carers’ Support Officer, get information, find out about support for carers, and register to receive regular local information.

Llantwit Major: Llantonian Hall  10:30-2:30pm 

Meet members of the Vale Carers’ Forum, pick up an information pack, register to receive local information, find out about support for carers including specialist information for carers of someone with a mental health condition.

Penarth: West House, Stanwell Road  10:30-2:30 

Meet a Vale of Glamorgan Council Carers’ Support Officer, chat with someone from Crossroads Care in the Vale, find out about local support, register to receive local information and get advice on the importance of looking after your own health.

Cowbridge: Lesser Hall, Cowbridge Town Hall  12:30-3pm 

Demonstrations and information on manual handling techniques, specialist support and advice for those who care for someone with physical disabilities, register to receive local information.
