Crossroads Carers’ group explores local heritage at St Fagans Museum

Viewing the old toll house

A small group of carers and their dependent relatives from Crossroads Care in the Vale visited the National History Museum of Wales at St Fagans recently.

Since opening in 1948, more than forty original buildings have been opened on the site, and the group explored many of these before  stopping for lunch at the museum’s restaurant. Following the refreshments there was an opportunity to view the agriculture and costume exhibitions.

Despite the gloomy weather forecast, the rain stayed away, enabling the group to enjoy walking in the grounds. It proved to be a very relaxing day for all those who attended.
